BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Kern County is the home to seas of oil rigs, but there might be more coming on the horizon.

Senate Bill 237 would allow the creation of up to 2,000 oil rigs in the county each year. This could mean some long-awaited jobs for workers in the oil industry.
